A passion project that proved a point
I play traditional Irish music — not professionally, just for the love of it. Trad has one particular challenge: the sheer volume of tunes to learn by ear and keep in your fingers. I wanted a simple trainer to keep me honest about the gaps, couldn’t find one that fitted, so I built it.
It came together in a weekend using AI-assisted development. The surprise wasn’t that it worked — it’s how much the bottleneck shifted from writing code to knowing exactly what the app needed to feel like for a real player.
