Validate Your Idea Before You Commit to a Build
A structured discovery workshop and working prototype that answers the real questions — is this viable, what will it actually take, and is it worth it — before you spend serious money finding out.
Who This Is For
Prototyping & Workshops are for businesses that have an idea for an AI or automation solution but aren’t ready — or willing — to fund a full build without proof it works.
You have a concept for an AI tool, automation workflow, or digital product but aren’t sure it’s technically feasible
You need to demonstrate something real to stakeholders, a board, or a funder before getting sign-off on a larger project
You’ve been burned before by a build that didn’t solve the real problem — and you want to get the scoping right this time
Your team has competing ideas about what to build and needs a structured process to align on the right one
What You Get
Facilitated Discovery Workshop
A structured session that surfaces the real problem, maps the solution space, and aligns your team around a single direction.
Working Prototype
A functional proof of concept — not a mockup or slide deck. Something your team and stakeholders can actually use and react to.
Technical Feasibility Assessment
An honest view of what’s required to build the full solution: effort, cost range, dependencies, and risk areas.
Build-vs-Buy Recommendation
A clear view of whether you should build custom, use an existing platform, or wait until the conditions are right.
Stakeholder-Ready Report & Presentation
A written summary of findings, the prototype demo, and recommended next steps — ready to present to leadership, investors, or funders.
What Happens
Most projects run over two to three weeks. The workshop is intensive but focused — we keep your team’s time commitment to what’s essential.
Scoping Call (30–45 minutes)
We understand the idea, the problem it’s meant to solve, the stakeholders involved, and what “success” looks like. We use this to design the right workshop for your situation.
Discovery Workshop (half-day)
A structured session with your core team. We map the problem in detail, explore the solution space, identify constraints and risks, and define exactly what the prototype needs to prove. We leave with an agreed scope.
Prototype Build (1–2 weeks)
We build a working proof of concept based on the agreed scope. Depending on the project, this might be an AI-powered workflow, an automated process, a functional web tool, or an interactive demo. The goal is something real to test and react to.
Review Session & Recommendation
We demo the prototype with your team, gather feedback, and deliver the written feasibility assessment and recommendation. If the prototype proves the concept, we can scope the full build from there.
What This Is Not
A few things worth being clear on before we start.
Not a mockup or Figma file. A prototype with us is functional — it does something. We build things that process data, connect to real tools, or demonstrate an actual AI behaviour.
Not a pre-sales exercise. If the prototype shows the idea isn’t viable or isn’t worth building, we’ll say so clearly. We’d rather save you the cost of a full build than sell you one that doesn’t deliver.
Not production-ready code. The prototype is built for speed and learning, not for scale. If you proceed to a full build, we’ll scope that separately with the right level of engineering.
Not a commitment to work with us further. The prototype and report are yours. You can take them to any development team or proceed independently. No lock-in.
Common Questions
How long does the whole process take?
Typically two to three weeks from scoping call to prototype review. The workshop is a half-day, and the prototype build runs in parallel with your normal business operations — we don’t need much of your team’s time between sessions.
What kind of prototypes do you build?
It depends on the idea. We’ve built AI chatbots, automated data pipelines, document processing tools, web-based workflow tools, and internal dashboards. If you’re not sure whether your idea fits, a scoping call will answer that quickly.
Can this replace a full AI Audit?
They serve different purposes. An AI Audit maps your whole business for opportunities. A Prototyping & Workshop engagement goes deep on one specific idea you’ve already identified. Some clients do both — the audit first, then a prototype for the top opportunity.
What if we decide to build the full solution after the prototype?
We can scope and deliver the full implementation from the prototype. You won’t be starting from scratch — the prototype work and feasibility assessment feeds directly into the build spec.
The Full Picture
Here’s how our services work together — mix and match depending on where you are.
AI Audit
Not sure which idea to prototype first? An AI Audit maps your whole business for opportunities and tells you where to focus.
Implementation
Prototype proven the concept? We can scope and build the full solution — fixed price, defined scope, full handover.
Free Discovery Call
Not sure if your idea is ready for a prototype yet? A 20-minute call is enough to figure out the right next step.
Ready to Test Your Idea?
A short scoping call is all we need to tell you whether a prototype makes sense for your project — and what it would take to build one.
